  • On Wednesday, the U.S. Forest Service opened a survey (open until March) to gather feedback on its 2025 ban on commercial huckleberry harvests in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest near Mount Adams; officials will use responses from huckleberry pickers, tribes, and partners to guide harvest rules for 2026.  Yakima Herald-Republic
