- ➤ B.J. Thurlby, leader of the Washington State Fruit Commission known for supporting cherry growers, died Jan. 10 after cancer surgery in Seattle. - ➤ A new two-story dental clinic in Terrace Heights is being developed by Yakima Neighborhood Health and PNWU's School of Dental Medicine to train local students and serve patients.
