  • Residents are invited to vote on safety measures after recent incidents involving child safety on Lower Valley school buses. The digital poll (open today) lets community members share their views to help guide future actions.  KIMA

  • Junior water rights holders in the Yakima Basin (including those from Roza and Kittitas districts) will get 44% of their water from the Yakima River Basin as forecasted by the Bureau of Reclamation, and irrigators may experience a two-week shutdown this summer to conserve water.  Yakima Herald-Republic

HEALTH NEWS

  • Residents should set clocks ahead at 2:00 a.m. Sunday and plan to sleep earlier to avoid health risks from losing an hour; fire officials advise testing smoke alarms (in every bedroom, hallway, and floor) and reviewing emergency escape plans.  1280 NewsTalk KIT
