- ➤ On Tuesday, Yakima hosted its first ceremony honoring Medal of Honor recipients from the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. - ➤ An 18-year-old Yakima man, Gael Gilberto Barajas-Lopez, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault after his pickup truck hit a van on West Nob Hill Boulevard late Saturday, injuring a 75-year-old woman who needed emergency surgery (his breathalyzer showed nearly twice the legal limit) as police found him visibly intoxicated.
