  • Lions Pool in Yakima will reopen at 8:00 a.m. today after a month-long closure due to budget cuts, providing a space for exercise and recreation. City leaders (including Parks and Recreation) say discussions continue for long-term funding to secure this community asset.  NonStopLocal

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Port of Grandview (executive director Randy Tucker said) is expanding its business parks after a 35,000-sqft complex on Wallace Way West filled in six months and purchasing 45 acres on Puterbaugh on Woodworth Road for future development.   • Darigold will pay $2 million to the Yakama Nation as part of a federal Clean Water Act settlement over alleged pollution at its Sunnyside plant near Yakima.
