- ➤ People for People broke ground on a new 6000 square foot Meals on Wheels commercial kitchen — the facility will centralize meal preparation for more than 178000 meals annually to expand services for seniors in Yakima County. FOX 41

- ➤ Raul Rudy Macias—a devoted father known for helping others—was fatally shot at Chesterley Skatepark on Monday while breaking up a fight, and family along with community members honored him in a Thursday ceremony as police arrested a 22-year-old gang member on second-degree murder and related charges with bail set at $200,000. - ➤ A Yakima man, 30-year-old Efrain Iniguez Jr., was arrested at his apartment after allegedly choking and shooting his pregnant girlfriend in the 400 block of North Third Street around 1:53 a.m. Sunday during a domestic dispute—prosecutors charged him with multiple counts of assault and unlawful firearm possession and set bail at $200,000.
