- ➤ A local ceremony will honor fallen veterans today at Tahoma Cemetery as about 900 wreaths are placed on graves. Volunteers are invited to join through the 16th Avenue entrance + Ellen Hazen leads the event to help people remember those who served. KIMA
- ➤ The Yakima Valley Community Foundation launched the Harvest Hope Fund to boost local food banks with emergency aid as rising costs and funding cuts leave more families in need — the initiative already received a $5,000 gift and will help until federal support returns. Yakima Herald-Republic

- ➤ The Fuzzy Felt vintage market returns today in Yakima with over 60 vendors offering clothing, toys, cards, sneakers and more. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with general admission at $2 (or an extra $3 for early access). FOX 41

- ➤ The Yakama Nation voiced disappointment after Governor Bob Ferguson approved the Carriger Solar Project on December 4, saying the project will affect tribal land traditionally used for first food & medicine harvests. - ➤ Two local residents expressed opposition (at a Tuesday night comment session) to a planned 2.9% electric rate increase by PacifiCorp, which could add about $10.43 to a typical month's bill if approved for 2026.
