- ➤ Streets will close on Monday, Jan. 19 for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration March. The march will begin at 12 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and North 5th Ave, then travel east to 8th Street and south to the Convention Center as Yakima PD manages closures. FOX 41

- ➤ Yakima wineries will host the annual Red Wine and Chocolate event Feb. 13-16, pairing red wine with specialty chocolate for Valentine's weekend; wineries will offer live music + food trucks as part of the experience. 1280 NewsTalk KIT

- ➤ Six Yakima County school districts will vote on replacement levies to fund programs from 2027-30 and West Valley will consider a bond measure for school improvements on the February ballot; ballots will be mailed (Jan. 23) and must be returned by Feb. 10. Yakima Herald-Republic

- ➤ A new bill in the state House and Senate would expand the overdose map pioneered by SAFE Yakima Valley to help smaller communities plan drug responses statewide; the tool (which lowered drug fatalities in Yakima) is now in committee. KIMA

- ➤ Ausink Family Medicine in Selah will switch to a direct care membership model and move to a larger facility at 300 Jim Clements Way, Suite C on May 1 to provide more personalized care to patients. KIMA
