  • Union Gap Fire Station is hosting its annual Spaghetti Feed on Saturday, April 25th from 4 pm to 7 pm (a community event with a fire station tour and meal) with a small fee supporting volunteer firefighters.  1280 NewsTalk KIT
  • This weekend, Yakima Valley College hosts a pottery sale Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Palmer Martin Hall at Nob Hill & 16th, while Irish-themed trolley rides run Friday and Saturday and Cowiche Creek Brewing holds its sixth annual brisket battle starting at noon Saturday.  Yakima Herald-Republic

  • 1-Up Games reopened in February at a new space after a fire forced a closure last May. Owner Alexander Smith said Hogback owners adjusted the space — giving the retro video game store a fresh start with classic media like VHS and Blu-ray.  KIMA

CULTURE NEWS

  • Yakima Valley Trolley will host two Irish-themed events to raise funds for $8 million in track repairs. The Irish Evening Trolley Ride (Friday, Mar. 13, 3:00–7:30 p.m.) offers music and drinks, and the family Irish Railroad Tea (Saturday, Mar. 14, 10:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) features storytelling and crafts.  1280 NewsTalk KIT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • WA Fish and Wildlife will switch to digital licenses on July 1, so hunters and anglers should use the MyWDFW and Fish Washington apps—printed licenses will be available through select dealers after July 8. The change aims to cut costs and improve convenience.  1280 NewsTalk KIT
  • Local Representative Jeremie Dufault’s bill, signed by Governor Ferguson on Wednesday, allows theaters with up to 200 seats to hold a spirits, beer & wine license. Public opinion on the option will be featured in the 5 and 6 p.m. news.  KIMA
