- ➤ GasBuddy's survey shows that gasoline prices in Yakima averaged $5 per gallon on March 30, up 10.9 cents from the previous week and nearly $1 higher than a year ago. The cheapest station charged $4.35 while the priciest was $5.59. KIMA
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Heritage University and Yakima Valley College are offering hands-on nursing training as WSU moves its classroom instruction out of Yakima, leaving Heritage as the only Bachelor of Science in Nursing program available and prompting plans to expand class size and simulation lab to meet local health care needs. - ➤ A state bill to expand Yakima County’s overdose mapping tool died before reaching the governor, so first responders will continue using the current system for tracking opioid overdoses. Safe Yakima will focus on education and plan to try the bill again next session (2027). KIMA
