  • On Saturday, Apr. 18, residents applauded as firefighters and community organizers unveiled a new mural on the side of East Valley Fire Station 41 at the corner of Moxee Avenue and Rivard Road. The mural by local artist Miguel Cuevas shows farm elements and hops to honor the town’s heritage.  Yakima Herald-Republic

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The annual Earth Day Yakima celebration took place at Sarg Hubbard Park on Saturday as local environmental organizations showcased their work and kids took part in planting and art activities. Organizer Megan Weeber said the event highlights that earth-friendly resources remain available 24/7.  KIMA
