- ➤ Firefighters battled a wildland fire near Wapato Saturday afternoon with crews from Yakima County Fire District 5, Granger and the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs—smoke from the blaze was seen along U.S. 97 and no size or containment estimates were available. Yakima Herald-Republic
