  • Triumph Treatment Services and Yakima Recovery Events held a free Steps to Recovery Walk at Miller Park on September 6 to mark National Recovery Month and build support for those overcoming addiction. Speakers shared personal recovery stories—nonprofits continue to help amid rising overdose deaths in our community.  FOX 41

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Judge Kirkham ruled that Yakima County met its records settlement in the Curtice case by providing the text messages between prosecutor Joe Brusic and Kristi Foster even after one message was deleted; attorney Tim Hall filed a motion to ask the court to reconsider if the deletion signals further issues. County officials explained that the deletion happened because Brusic’s phone was not set to back up texts.  Yakima Herald-Republic
