- ➤ Hop growers in the Yakima Valley are cutting acreage to ease a pandemic oversupply even as they work through a strong season with a forecast of a 62-million-pound crop that will be 3% lower than last year's. At Loza Farms in Wapato — now with 250 acres — farmers expect good yields and a drop in extra inventory. Yakima Herald-Republic
