- ➤ Valley Mall kicked off the Christmas season when Santa arrived and the Grinch performed for families outside, offering activities such as photo sessions with Santa, letter-writing, and a 360 photobooth. - ➤ Yakima’s community Christmas tree is scheduled to be delivered to Millennium Plaza on Tuesday, Nov 25, with transport between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and planting around 12:30 p.m.; temporary street closures—North Sixth Street to Third Street for 15 to 30 minutes—may affect traffic as officials prepare for light installation on Dec 2 and the tree lighting ceremony on Dec 7.
