  • Cornerstone Ranches reached a $1 million settlement with the Attorney General’s Office over allegations it lowered local workers’ hours when using H-2A labor (more than 50 farmworkers will receive compensation) and must update hiring practices over the next three years.  Yakima Herald-Republic
  • Washington state law will change in 2026, raising the minimum wage to $17.13 per hour starting Jan. 1 and lowering the paid leave requirement from eight hours to four. The rules add job protection after six-month employment and update child support standards.  NonStopLocal
